Two Ingredient Strawberry Cream Dessert (Try Frozen!)

Updated: Aug 30

A game plan to use up some soon to expire heavy whipping cream was needed. One idea I had was to use it to make a mousse dessert, but I lacked several ingredients and the motivation to make something extravagant. I decided to try making a strawberry cream "mousse" with the heavy cream and strawberry jam sitting in my refrigerator. I was not disappointed with the outcome --a fruity, fluffy, and fast dessert fix.

Dessert shown frozen and melting.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 3/4 cup strawberry preserves

Directions:

  1. Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

  2. Use a fork to break apart 3/4 cup strawberry preserves. (This helps to combine more evenly.)

  3. Slowly beat strawberry preserves into the fluffed heavy cream.

  4. Chill and enjoy (or freeze for a more ice-cream-like dessert).

My favorite way to enjoy is frozen. This two ingredient strawberry cream doubles as a simple no-churn ice cream. I hope you end up enjoying this as much as I do!
